Chelsea football club of London are current champions of Europe after battling it out with Bayern Munich on their home turf in the final of the 2011-2012 season. Chelsea's leading veteran striker Didier Drogba has recently said he would be leaving Chelsea after he scored the equalizer, as well as the winning penalty  in the final and breaking a million Bayern hearts.

Prior to this to this spectecular final, Roman Abrahmovic anounced the new signing of German winger Marco Marin for a fee said to be at 7 million euros of Werder Bremen, who is dubbed the "German Messi" by the media.  Roman Abrahmovic who is the owner of Chelsea football club always has a say in the signing of players and his most expensive player 50 million euro Fernando Torres has been overtaken by most recent signing of Belgian winger Edin Harzard who is said to have cost Chelsea 90 millon euros.  Since the departure of Drogba, Torres has trashed all rumors about him leaving Stamford Bridge and has committed himself to Chelsea.  He will most likely be leading the pack up front for the 2012-2013 season.

Chelsea will also be looking to getting back their loaned out players such as Josh Machrean (Swansea), Gael Kakuta (Montpellier)  and Yossi Benayoun (Arsenal) to help strengthen their squad for an even more competitive season.
